NURTURING PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS

Our Two-Year-Old Program in Conroe gives children two years of age a safe, nurturing place to grow, explore, and build early skills at Grace Early Education Center. This is more than daycare for 2 year olds: our experienced teachers keep ratios low, and our faith-based, play-based preschool curriculum supports physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. As a Christian early education center serving Conroe families, we partner closely with parents at every step of your child’s learning journey.

What to Expect in Our Two-Year-Old Program

A Two-Year-Old Program is structured early learning built for the age when children are talking more, testing independence, and ready for their first real classroom routine. Often searched as preschool for 2 year olds, our program turns everyday play into learning, laying an academic foundation while keeping each child safe, comfortable, and supported. Research from child development experts shows that high-quality early learning at this age supports later school readiness and social growth.

At Grace Early Education Center, our two-year-old program blends play-based learning, storytime, music, art, and outdoor play with a faith-based curriculum taught from a Christian worldview. Children enjoy hands-on activities, sensory tables that introduce elementary science, and age-appropriate STEAM lessons. Recess happens in our large fenced playground or full-sized gymnasium, giving two-year-olds plenty of room to move and explore safely.

What Makes Grace the Right Choice for Your Two-Year-Old

Two-Year-Old Program FAQs

What preschool curriculum do you use for 2 year olds in Conroe, TX?

Our two-year-old program uses a faith-based curriculum taught from a Christian worldview, blending traditional hands-on learning with age-appropriate STEAM activities. Children work on letters, numbers, colors, shapes, manners, and early science through sensory play.

At this age, STEAM looks like exploration, not worksheets. Sensory tables, simple cause-and-effect experiments, building, music, and art let two-year-olds discover science, engineering, and math concepts through play that matches their motor and cognitive stage.
Yes. The two-year-old year lays an academic foundation by introducing letters, numbers, shapes, and classroom routines. It builds the focus, independence, and social skills children carry into the three-year-old program and, later, kindergarten readiness.
We keep ratios low so each two-year-old receives individualized attention. Small group sizes also help with early language, social development, and the responsive care two-year-olds need as they grow more independent.
Faith is woven into the day in age-appropriate ways. Through simple Bible stories, songs, and cause-and-effect lessons, two-year-olds are introduced to a Christian worldview that plants seeds of faith while they learn and play.
Yes. We support potty training and work at each child’s pace, partnering with parents so the approach stays consistent between home and school. Children move forward when they show readiness, with patience and encouragement.
We make the move gradual and supported. Familiar routines, a warm classroom, and open communication with parents help two-year-olds settle in, so the step up from the toddler room feels natural rather than overwhelming.

Tuition and schedules vary, so reach out or visit our pricing page for current rates and availability. To enroll, contact us or stop by for a tour, and we will walk you through the enrollment packet and your child’s transition.

We have attended Grace for a year now. My son started in 3s and is now in Pre-K. I LOVE how small the class sizes are! The largest class he was ever in was 9 kids. Therefore, there is really personalized attention to each child. Each teacher is given the freedom to make their lesson plans and it was really cool to see how passionate his teachers would get in what they did with the kids. He came home with numerous art projects but also handwriting papers. He just turned four and can do all the ABCs, numbers to 30, write his name, spell 5-10 words, recognize 2-3 words, tell you the seasons, days of the week, months of the year and the city, state, country and continent he lives on. They also have some enrichment with PE and soccer shots, although they used to have music and Spanish. The pastor is the kindest woman you will meet and they do Chapel on Wednesdays. This school really feels like a community, where other schools feel like an "institution." Each teacher and staff knows you, your kids and their needs. I come from a small town, and this is the first real community I have found for my son since I have lived here. Thank you Grace staff for all you do and how much you care!

My grandson has gone to the summer program there in the past (he's in grade school now). He loved it, had an amazing time. The school was always filled with laugher and smiles whenever I would drop him off and pick him up. Every teacher I ran into always greeted me with a smile and said hello. It is a very warm and loving atmosphere. He would tell me he loved his teachers. He still talks about some to this day. We just loved our time at Grace and wish all the best for the teachers, staff, school and church!

My child loves interacting in chapel & wearing his various chapel shirts, loves his class and his teachers thanks Mrs Emily & Mrs Angie. My child has shown improvement in school and his love for God and chapel praise and worship since being here.
