Three-Year-Old Program in Conroe, TX

CHRIST-CENTERED PRESCHOOL FOR THREE-YEAR-OLDS

At three, children are ready to do more than play side by side; they are ready to learn together. The Three-Year-Old Program in Conroe, TX, at Grace Early Education Center meets them there, turning that new curiosity into phonics, counting, and the first real habits of a classroom. Taught through a Christ-centered traditional curriculum and kept small so no child gets lost in the crowd, it is the year your preschooler gains the focus, friendships, and early academics that point straight toward kindergarten, with you and our teachers walking alongside them the whole way.

What Is Inside Our Three-Year-Old Program

Three is the year a child starts becoming a student. At this age, curiosity sharpens into real focus, vocabulary takes off, and children are finally ready to sit for a story, sound out letters, and count with intention. Our three-year-old program, what many parents search for as preschool for 3 year olds, is organized around a rotating weekly theme so every song, craft, and learning station ties back to one big idea the class explores together. Child development research links this kind of theme-based, relationship-rich preschool to stronger kindergarten readiness and social confidence.

A typical day moves between hands-on learning stations, art, music, dance, and active outdoor play, with prayer and story time woven through. Children settle into their own cubby, share snacks twice a day, and burn energy in our large fenced playground or full-sized gymnasium. What sets the three-year-old room apart is the step up in expectation: children begin following multi-step directions, working in small groups, and taking ownership of their space. Each week they also gather for chapel at Grace Church, where a simple Bible story anchors the lessons of faith and character that run through the program.

Program Highlights

This is where the building blocks of school click into place. Through phonics, poetry, counting, art, music, and Bible stories, three-year-olds grow from curious toddlers into eager early learners. Here is what your child will be working on:

Weekly lesson plans highlight the concepts being taught, and each child’s progress is carefully tracked on a developmental checklist. We share that progress with parents at conferences every semester, so you always know how your three-year-old is growing.

What Sets Our Three-Year-Old Program Apart

Three-Year-Old Program FAQs for Conroe, TX

Is my child ready for a 3 year old preschool program?
Most children are ready when they can spend time away from a parent, show interest in other kids, and follow simple directions. Potty training and complete independence are not required to start. Our teachers meet each child where they are and build readiness through daily routines.
At three, children build early literacy through phonics and daily reading, recognize numbers, colors, and shapes, and grow social and emotional skills like sharing and taking turns. Our weekly themes and learning stations turn these goals into hands-on, playful learning.
We partner with families on potty training rather than requiring it on day one. We work at each child’s pace and keep the approach consistent between home and school, with patience and encouragement as your child shows readiness.
A typical three-year-old focuses for several minutes at a time, so the day moves through short, varied activities: circle and story time, learning stations, art, music, STEAM, prayer, snacks, and recess. This rhythm keeps children engaged while building their attention span.

Our three-year-old program uses a Christ-centered traditional curriculum organized around a weekly theme, blending phonics, numbers, and counting with age-appropriate STEAM, art, music, and Bible lessons that prepare children for Pre-K and kindergarten.

Yes. Three-year-olds take part in weekly chapel at Grace Church and they explore age-appropriate Bible lessons with morals that build a strong spiritual foundation throughout the year.
We keep ratios low so each three-year-old receives individualized attention. Smaller groups support early literacy, social development, and the responsive teaching that helps children become confident learners.

Tuition and schedules vary, so reach out or visit our pricing page for current rates and availability. To enroll, contact us or stop by for a tour, and we will walk you through the enrollment packet and your child’s transition.

We have attended Grace for a year now. My son started in 3s and is now in Pre-K. I LOVE how small the class sizes are! The largest class he was ever in was 9 kids. Therefore, there is really personalized attention to each child. Each teacher is given the freedom to make their lesson plans and it was really cool to see how passionate his teachers would get in what they did with the kids. He came home with numerous art projects but also handwriting papers. He just turned four and can do all the ABCs, numbers to 30, write his name, spell 5-10 words, recognize 2-3 words, tell you the seasons, days of the week, months of the year and the city, state, country and continent he lives on. They also have some enrichment with PE and soccer shots, although they used to have music and Spanish. The pastor is the kindest woman you will meet and they do Chapel on Wednesdays. This school really feels like a community, where other schools feel like an "institution." Each teacher and staff knows you, your kids and their needs. I come from a small town, and this is the first real community I have found for my son since I have lived here. Thank you Grace staff for all you do and how much you care!

My grandson has gone to the summer program there in the past (he's in grade school now). He loved it, had an amazing time. The school was always filled with laugher and smiles whenever I would drop him off and pick him up. Every teacher I ran into always greeted me with a smile and said hello. It is a very warm and loving atmosphere. He would tell me he loved his teachers. He still talks about some to this day. We just loved our time at Grace and wish all the best for the teachers, staff, school and church!
