Infant Daycare Program
for Babies 6 Weeks–17 Months
What Our Infant Care Program Is
Infant care is full-day, professionally supervised care for babies who are not yet walking confidently or ready for a toddler classroom, typically from a few weeks old through around 17 months. Good infant care does more than keep a baby safe and fed. It supports the rapid brain, body, and emotional growth that happens in the first year and a half through responsive caregiving, sensory play, and consistent routines.
At Grace, our Infant Care Program offers a nurturing and supportive environment for children aged 6 weeks to 17 months, providing a safe, stimulating space for infants to explore and learn through play, interaction, and guided activities. Our experienced and caring infant teachers are dedicated to creating a warm and loving atmosphere where each child can develop at their own pace. We understand that every infant is unique with their own individual needs, which is why we offer individualized attention and care to keep each child happy, healthy, and thriving. We prioritize building strong relationships with families and strive to create a community where everyone feels welcome and supported.
A Curriculum Built for Infant Development
Our program features a curriculum designed to promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. We focus on a variety of sensory experiences, including music, movement, and exploration of different textures and materials, and we encourage communication and language development through reading, signing, and conversation.
All of the youngest infants are welcomed to Grace with a soft baby blanket made by the Grace Lutheran Church Quilters group. Infants eat, sleep, and play in a clean and sanitized environment. Bottle-fed babies are held and rocked, and those eating solid food are safely seated at toddler feeding tables where they are assisted in learning to feed themselves. Children get restful sleep in state-approved cribs in a dimly lit, quiet environment where soothing music is played. Several times a day, the young ones board the Big Red Buggies for a stroll around the property, and in inclement weather, our large facility easily accommodates the buggies in the many wide halls or the full-sized gym. As babies grow, the older infants are gradually transitioned from cribs to mats, preparing them for the Toddler class.
Infants are never too young to learn, and at Grace, learning takes
place right away:
- Social and emotional development occurs as compassionate staff respond quickly to each infant's needs.
- Spacious play areas promote movement and physical development.
- Specialized toys encourage gross motor skills.
- Gentle, loving communication and repetitive speech reinforce language development.
- American Sign Language is employed to help non-verbal infants begin to communicate.

When You Need Infant Care
Most families start looking for infant care as parental leave winds down or a return-to-work date appears on the calendar. Because quality infant rooms fill quickly and have strict ratios, it pays to plan early rather than scramble at the last minute.
You may be ready for infant care if:
- You are returning to work or school and need full-day, reliable coverage.
- Your baby is between 6 weeks and 17 months old.
- You want trained caregivers and a structured daily routine rather than ad-hoc help.
- You are looking for a setting that supports milestones, not just supervision.
- You want safe-sleep practices and state-approved cribs.
- You would feel better knowing staff communicate with you about your baby's day
If any of these sound like your situation, the best next step is to tour the infant room and ask about current openings, since spots are limited and tend to go fast.

We have attended Grace for a year now. My son started in 3s and is now in Pre-K. I LOVE how small the class sizes are! The largest class he was ever in was 9 kids. Therefore, there is really personalized attention to each child. Each teacher is given the freedom to make their lesson plans and it was really cool to see how passionate his teachers would get in what they did with the kids. He came home with numerous art projects but also handwriting papers. He just turned four and can do all the ABCs, numbers to 30, write his name, spell 5-10 words, recognize 2-3 words, tell you the seasons, days of the week, months of the year and the city, state, country and continent he lives on. They also have some enrichment with PE and soccer shots, although they used to have music and Spanish. The pastor is the kindest woman you will meet and they do Chapel on Wednesdays. This school really feels like a community, where other schools feel like an "institution." Each teacher and staff knows you, your kids and their needs. I come from a small town, and this is the first real community I have found for my son since I have lived here. Thank you Grace staff for all you do and how much you care!Posted on Google![]()

My grandson has gone to the summer program there in the past (he's in grade school now). He loved it, had an amazing time. The school was always filled with laugher and smiles whenever I would drop him off and pick him up. Every teacher I ran into always greeted me with a smile and said hello. It is a very warm and loving atmosphere. He would tell me he loved his teachers. He still talks about some to this day. We just loved our time at Grace and wish all the best for the teachers, staff, school and church!Posted on Google![]()
